Change

 Change

Time and change are topics that on the face of it look so different but if we look closely we will see that the only way we can measure change is through time. Time gives a special identity to a certain event. I was on a call with my friend last week and he told me that actually there is no time and it is just something we use to measure the change in the state of things. I totally agree with him.

In Hindu scriptures, It is said that this material world is divided into different periods and it keeps on repeating itself. We are living in the age of Kali-yuga, the last yuga of the four yugas - Sati-yuga (1,728,000 human years), Treta-yuga (1,296,000 human years), Dwapar-yuga (8,64,000 human years), and Kali-yuga (4,32,000 human years). All the four yugas combined form a Maha Yuga (4,320,000). It is further stated that there are 71 Maha Yugas that form a Manavantra (Lifespan of a Manu, who begins humankind). There are a total of 14 Manavantra and we are in the 7th Manavantra. Further, 14 Manavantra creates 1 Kalpa. 2 Kalpa creates 1 Ahotram which is said to be one complete day of Bramha. 360 Ahotram is one year of Bramha Dev. The total lifespan of Bramha Dev is 100 years. After every cycle new Bramha Dev, Manavantras, and other positions like demigods are also assigned. This is only a drop from the ocean of the Sanatan Dharma.

This shows how old and ever-lasting change can be and the expansion of time seems limitless. The ever-changing universe seems like an endlessly flowing river where we all are experiencing our little worlds in our minds. Our world in our mind can be said to be little but the amount of joy it can create in it or any amount of emotion that borns feel immensely powerful. And that happens when our little universe, the mind shifts or changes its state. Thank you for visiting Peace, Joy, and Love. I will come up with another blog soon.
