Memories

Image
Memories Memories exist outside of time. This is a monologue of the protagonist from the series Euphoria. Her name is Rue and her father died of cancer when she was little. Her dad told her " Whenever you want to see me just close her eyes and we'll be together ".  This scene made me curious to read about memories and write a blog post about the same. I was also wondering for the past week to the question, c an we miss someone even if we are sitting right next to that person? And I think I know the answer now. -------------------------- Memories; they are quite like a sister of imagination.  I want to relate this to my previous blog - The Universe in our heads . As I wrote, our mind has no limit just like the universe where we exist. Our thoughts are born in our minds just like the galaxies, solar systems (or human beings) in this universe.  Some humans like our family, friends, and people we love are like the dreams and memories in our minds who remain there longer than ...

My First visit to Tis Hazari District Court

Image
Visiting the court for the first time Due to our busy schedules, my friend and I were going to try to make it to the court, but we never had time. We had the opportunity to visit the court today because our classes were canceled. Since it was the most suitable option, we took the metro from our college. After reaching the place but before evening entering the first frisk checkpoint, we encountered a Tout (kind of a broker for advocates) who said "Kahan jana hai?" (Where do you want to go?). I didn't know who he was but my friend told me, there are a lot of people like him who will ask the same question. At the second checkpoint also, there was another man asking the same. We entered the premises after a quick frisk check, and it was busy inside. We simply roamed the area for a while. The court proceedings were happening in small rooms adjoining to the chambers of those Judges who were presiding over the cases. My friend then asked for permission from the court martial to ...

Keep your stupid little thing going...

Image
"Nothing matters..." Yeah, we hear this frequently through others and say it ourselves sometimes. But if you ever wondered waiting to find the answer to this "Does anything really matters?" I watched a film recently it was one of the best movies I have ever watched because this film gave me my answer to this one question.  Everything Everywhere all at once  this movie had a great impact on me as I often question myself, does this life really matters. This movie first tells us that nothing in this world actually matters and then it shows us that our little stupid life is meaningful only because we give meaning to it. We can go ahead and avoid it but what holds us is the meanings and connections we build through all this. If we look closely and analyze that if nothing matters and everything is just here for some time then we should also look at the other side. Is nothingness more important than existence?  We will realize that yeah if nothing matters and having nothin...

Universe in our head

Image
The Universe in our head Often when we start to think about the origin of everything, the origin of the universe, it just makes us feel empty and clueless because questions like these are still missing their answers in modern science. Various theories of the past and people's beliefs have different stories of the creation of the universe. When we study space we end up at "where does the universe end?" Like planets make a solar system, solar systems create a galaxy, and a group of galaxies is called the universe. What is thereafter the universe and what is its length, depth, and volume? Is it infinite or is there something bigger after the universe ends? I would like you to imagine the vastness of your mind. What do you see when you look inside your thinking tank? do you see a finite space or is it enormous enough that feels like a universe? Where does a thought go when we don't believe it? Where does a thought come from? Do we create our thoughts or do we experience ...

Hobbies

Image
Hobbies Hearing the word hobbies, most of the time makes us think only about the activities which are talked about more often like painting and reading. And we also see the representation of these particular hobbies in media which are repeatedly shown that makes us question our hobbies and sometimes makes us question, Do I have a hobby? A hobby is a practice of one's daily life that is done in the pursuit of enjoyment.  Hobbies can be anything  (Not particularly painting, singing, and dancing)  like sitting in the balcony, spending time with your pet, visiting a place for a walk or exercise, or even starring at the sunset and imagining or anything that has become a routine that gives a sense of rejuvenation or refreshment from exhaustion. When I was little, I used to make up names whenever a teacher asks me about my hobbies. And I was lying because actually I never knew what my hobbies were as they would not match the more talked hobbies like painting, singing or dancing,...

Change

Image
Change Time and change are topics that on the face of it look so different but if we look closely we will see that the only way we can measure change is through time. Time gives a special identity to a certain event. I was on a call with my friend last week and he told me that actually there is no time and it is just something we use to measure the change in the state of things. I totally agree with him. In Hindu scriptures, It is said that this material world is divided into different periods and it keeps on repeating itself. We are living in the age of Kali-yuga, the last yuga of the four yugas - Sati-yuga ( 1,728,000 human years ), Treta-yuga ( 1,296,000 human years ), Dwapar-yuga ( 8,64,000 human years ), and Kali-yuga ( 4,32,000 human years ). All the four yugas combined form a Maha Yuga ( 4,320,000 ). It is further stated that there are 71 Maha Yugas that form a Manavantra (Lifespan of a Manu, who begins humankind). There are a total of 14 Manavantra and we are in the 7th M...

Acceptance

Image
Acceptance Once upon a time, there was a little boy Dhruv. He was full of spirit, joy, and, curiosity. Whatever new or exciting thing he sees becomes the reason for his smile. He loves everything about him and loved his friends and family. As he gets older, he saw people making fun of him smiling more, being more loving, and doing things that he loved about himself. With time the little boy Dhruv losses his joy, curiosity, and spirit of cheerfulness. This lead to him disowning the smile he always used to keep on his face.  This story is not unique. We all hold our story just like Dhruv in our lives, where self-acceptance is replaced with self-forgetting. Self-forgetting or self molding for others creates malice (Hiding self pain or hurt by hurting others) No one in this world can accept or forgive others unless they have not accepted or forgiven themselves. Over the year I have learned that people who are hurt inside, hurt others to hide the pain they are holding deep inside. Dhruv...

Always Remember

Image
Breakdowns Breakdowns, collapse, and fallbacks are ironically that part of one's journey where one only sees the present and not the past or future, which is present, the balanced vision. amazing, right?  Here is a little video for my lovely readers who give me their precious time to see the creative little blogposts I post. I love you all so much. Video by Jessie & Ryan's Adventure Vlogs We all have our expectations, goals, and experiences towards different situations. I too have my goals and outcomes of my reactions to situations. There are days when I just don't feel motivated enough to do anything (things that I am supposed to do) and ruin my energy on drainers like youtube, Instagram, basically my phone. This all happens just like a wave when the damage done is seen only after the wave is gone but If I take some time out to do something out of creativity or something I like that is reading, writing, and doing my "do your thing" then that becomes a real br...

The Little tales of ours

Image
The Little tales of ours My blog posts are nothing but little stories that have had happened or stories that I create. I remember that one day our college professor told us, "Why do you want to live somebody's lived reality when you can create your own marvelous one?" At that moment I was gaged by that statement. There are so many little moments that we can take and let those small stories color our big stories. I have written about my small moments that came out to be the giant little ones. I found peace in writing my own stories and sharing them on this blog. It also helped me be creative in writing. Maybe writing your own stories does make you fall in love with yourself. Image source If someone asks me what is your story. I would tell my giant little stories that made the episodes of my seasons and then the whole picture. I used to think that what if that happens to me or what if I could have done that. This is nothing but an act of erasing our creations. I am proud of...

Friendships

Image
Friendships I've always been blessed when it comes to having good people around; that we call our friends. There's a saying that we never get a chance to choose our siblings/cousins, parents, grandparents, and relatives but we always have the fortune to pick our friends. I have a lot of memories that are so close to my heart that I am going to remember. If I have to recall my very first friendship, It would be when I was around 6-7 years. It was the age when all we do is play, have fun, and just mess around. I have no contact with those friends now, it was like I was at a place that left its footprints on my memories. It was a campus where we have done so many from learning to ride a bicycle, climb trees, spending time in the swimming pool, coming down sliding on a piece of cardboard, entering into parties where we were not invited, we had a day spent in a tent, and whatnot. When I came to know that we have to move to a different place, I had no idea at first and it happened so...

Compassion & Kindness

Image
The Blessing of Kindness In this blog, I would like to share the importance of kindness in this world of expectations. We all have heard this saying, "Be Kind" but sometimes, the battles in one's mind can make it hard to be kind, mostly to ourselves. I have realized, over the past few years, that if you are not kind to yourself you cannot be kind to the world. There is already a huge amount of voices in our head that tells us things we do not want to hear. And hearing something from the outside world can make it worse. At a tender age, it is hard to realize the consequences of your acts. We all get names no matter if we like it or not. Most of us never understand what we are saying. Sometimes we get bullied and sometimes we become one. I Love comics from  swatercolour  Thank you so much for this artwork One kind word from someone can erase all the voices that we want to avoid. This is the potential of being kind. You can sweep away all the rain clouds from someone's m...

The Brave One

Image
After a long time, yesterday, I was sitting in my balcony staring at the beauty of nature. I saw a little bird nest. In the nest, there were two little nestlings (one or a half weeks old) with a parent. Out of curiosity, I started imagining. I asked the bird (parent of the nestlings) "It must be challenging going out, looking for food when there are so many predators out there looking for you." "Yes, it is. But I have these two little lives depending on me." Said the bird. "You seem to be a brave one. How was your childhood?" I asked. "I don't know if I am the brave one but I am sure that I am the lucky one. I had a brother who died saving me when a kite attached our nest. We used to have a nest on  Azadirachta indica (neem tree) and our flock (group of birds) used to sing a song of bravery. Now I sing this song for my little ones." A Story about Hope

Image
Four candles in a room One evening, four candles were burning slowly whiles having a conversation. The ambiance was so soft one could hear them talking. The first candle said - I am PEACE but the world is full of anger and fighting, nobody wants to keep me lit, and slowly it cried and went off. The second candle said - I am FAITH, but I am no longer indispensable and it doesn't make sense that I still have to stay lit again, and slowly it went off. Sadly, the third candle cried and said - I am LOVE, but people don't have me anymore, they have replaced me with hatred in their heart, they revenge and hurts others. People don't understand my importance anymore, and slowly love burned away. Suddenly a child entered the room and saw the three unlit candles, why aren't you burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end. Whiles saying this, the child began to cry. Then the fourth candle said, don't be afraid - I am HOPE, and while I am still burning. We can re-light t...

The Power of Music

Image
The Power of Music I started listening to music in 2016 - 2017 before that I can only recall movie songs of Bollywood that hardly resemble my vibes. The first song I ever listened to that resonates with me was Love Story by Taylor Swift. I was a huge swiftie back then. After that, I started listening to more similar songs and came to know pop is my jam. Over the years, listening to pop music became my routine. In 2019, My best friend told me about Spotify which transformed everything. I am so grateful that he shared this beautiful application with me. My therapy begins, the power of music rewired my entire system. Whenever I felt lost, broken, upset, and low, I put on my headphones with my brave playlist on (songs that makes me feel powerful, strong, and unstoppable) and dance it out. It is as if something is trying to pull me down inside my head, I walk it out through music. This made me fearless. Not as if I fear nothing but, I fear nothing that may break me down. Because I will alwa...

My Friends in the Balcony

Image
The Decade, where I found myself. From a downfall to the rise. From a cave to the peak of the jungle. My parents are thinking about shifting to a new place and I am pretty sure that they have made their mind about this to finally shift. After knowing this, obviously, I was a little upset about leaving. A place where I have spent a decade of my life, my teenage years. Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, 07:23PM. I was in my balcony room. I sometimes, when there is a lot in my mind, just gaze at the sky and feel the air on my face and in a few minutes, the songbirds make all the worries go away. It is like a meditation for me, the sound of nature. This habit made me realize that I have befriended all the trees, birds, and squirrels near my house. Image source All my friends (trees, birds, and squirrels) know that I am going to leave in the coming months. Yes, I will be upset about leaving them but I will be happier about how much time I have spent here which will be worth remembering. This ...

The Beauty of Life

Image
The Beauty of Life In the last 2-3 years, I've been so happy and so much alive. It's like I am living the best life and I can feel the heaven inside me. The amount of self-love has increased so much like even in the smallest things I can find my blessings. I am not excluding the days where I felt a little low or sad or hurt. Without those days I would not have realized the importance of the days where I felt alive. This is the beauty of life, these ups & downs of emotions are what life is. Meditation, I can talk about this forever and ever and ever and ever. Meditation is my medication. I am so glad that I started meditation. It transformed me into a whole new person. My vision, intuition, attention, and awareness have changed dramatically. It's been 2 years or maybe more than that. I can see the things meditation helped me unfold and how it helped me in finding love in every single being in the universe. Image source If someone asks me, "Are you proud of your life...

Joie de Vivre

Image
The Joy of Living Joie de Vivre,  a cheerful enjoyment of life. I have shared my journey of how I find the treasure, you can read that blog here . In this blog, I want to share that we cannot escape from all the challenges and hardships in our life, but we can change the way we look at them. Peace, Joy, and Love are doing verbs. These are actions, not nouns. Happiness too is an energy that can be sensed only after bringing out its essence to life. In quarantine, I have learned a lot about myself and still learning. I was telling myself I cannot escape the ebb & flow of life. I was repeatedly telling myself a story that was building my reality. I was finding the answer to how can I escape this? Now I know, there is no answer. I need to drop the story and enjoy this very moment with gratitude and compassion. When we go down (the phase of the lower wave in the ups and downs of ebb and flow) we must not forget that in this phase, we must have faith that this too shall pass. And wh...
